RADAR Exec, one of the CVS applications, provides a bird's-eye, exception-based view of the company's performance. It encapsulates metrics on finance, operations, employees, real-estate, asset management and the competition into one central location. CVS is presenting information in a Web-based dashboard concept, while channeling the user to underlying Essbase XTD Analytic Services systems to drill into more detail behind highlighted variances.

Although the vast majority of financial analysts in the company use Essbase XTD Analytic Services, most managers see the Excel client as cumbersome. Fidelity decided to create a solution targeted specifically at the managers utilizing the Web as the primary means of access. Hear how GDNS and Painted Word created a Web-based, centralized planning solution that shortened forecasting cycle time while increasing data reliability. It will review how to create new tag libraries - visualization components - from scratch to integrate with Hyperion Application Builder and how to extend existing components, such as grid components, to ensure a robust design.
